Over the last few years, you may have noticed that we’ve changed our Arc’teryx brand logo to feature a rainbow throughout June in honour of Pride Month.
This expression of solidarity with the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities is one we firmly stand by. We do this in service of our employees, our community, our athletes, and those who wear The Bird around the world.
It is our moral obligation to acknowledge, validate, and honour the diverse identities and lived experiences of this community. As we work to become a more just, equitable, and inclusive organization, we commit to using our voice and influence to do the same across the outdoor industry.
We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to build a connection to nature and to bring their whole selves into outdoor spaces without fear of harm. Being outdoors isn’t a way to escape life, it’s a way to connect to it. We care deeply about breaking down barriers to access, creating and upholding more inclusive spaces, and partnering with community organizations leading this important work.
We look forward to working with our community partners, both internal and external, to continually evolve our practices and spaces to be more open, accessible, and welcoming to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
We know this month can be a complex mixture of emotions, for those who identify across the rainbow, and for those exploring their path. We hold space for it all, from the uncomfortable to the joyous, and all that is in between. We celebrate and honour our 2SLGBTQIA+ siblings this Pride Month, and all year long.
