“The formation of a dedicated Footwear Business Unit marks an important milestone in our journey to establish Arc’teryx as a global leader in mountain footwear,” said Stuart Haselden, Chief Executive Officer at Arc’teryx. “The exceptional work of Ovidio Garcia and his team who led this effort has created tremendous momentum with our Spring 2025 launches, including the Norvan LD 4 and Vertex Speed, and we’re excited for what this means for the future of the business.”

“Building on the foundation Ovi and team have built with a focused business unit will drive innovation, speed to market, and exceptional products for mountain athletes worldwide,” said Matt Bolte, Chief Merchandising Officer, who will expand his leadership position to oversee Footwear.

The new business unit will be led by Renée Augustine, who has been appointed Arc’teryx’s first-ever General Manager, Footwear, effective immediately. Augustine brings extensive strategic leadership experience to the role, having most recently served as Vice President of Strategy & Enterprise PMO at Arc’teryx since 2023. Prior to joining Arc’teryx, Augustine held senior leadership positions at Under Armour and Nike, where she drove global category strategy and key growth initiatives.

“This is a pivotal moment, not just for Arc’teryx, but for the future of mountain footwear. We’ve proven there’s real demand for Arc’teryx in this space. Launching a dedicated Footwear Business Unit is a testament to our belief in what’s possible, and I’m honoured to be a part of it."

Ovi Garcia, who successfully built and led Arc’teryx’s footwear team from inception, has been appointed Vice President of Footwear Product. In this new and expanded role, Garcia will lead the Footwear Product Center of Excellence.

Arc’teryx Footwear will continue to operate with its primary hub in Portland, Oregon, and will include dedicated resources across product creation, brand marketing, and commercial functions.

This announcement follows Arc’teryx’s recent expansion of its footwear line in February 2025, which introduced four new models: the Norvan LD 4, Vertex Speed, Konseal, and Norvan Nivalis, each designed for specific mountain terrain and conditions. The company plans to significantly expand its footwear offerings and market presence in the coming years under this dedicated business structure.
