Arc’teryx to Open Victoria Brand Store

This store offers not only an interactive retail experience to touch, feel and learn about the products, but a gathering place to host meetups, clinics and events for the community,” says Megan Cheesbrough, VP of Retail, Arc’teryx.

Located on historic Government Street in the heart of the downtown shopping district, the store will be central for the estimated four million tourists annually. On the second floor, a digital map of the West Coast Trail allows customers to visualize their hiking trip while having access to expert product guides to help make the appropriate gear selections.

“The new retail store is a thoughtfully designed, bright and modern space to inspire and connect customers to the many incredible parks, trails, and rugged coastlines around Victoria,” says Stephanie Jamieson, Global Retail Marketing Manager, Arc’teryx. “We are proud to provide a retail experience that truly reflects our passion for the outdoors.”

The grand opening celebrations start Saturday, January 11^th with several special events. The first 50 customers through the doors at 10:00 a.m. will receive Arc’teryx gift bags. Throughout opening day refreshments will be served in store, Arc’teryx will host a GORE-TEX demonstration station, live music, a nutrition lab for wellness advice and tips, and a community scavenger hunt. Additional launch events also include a Photography Clinic on January 19^th from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., and a Winter Run Clinic on January 23^rd from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
