Still Solo: December 3

Still 2020, still making super serious mountain films, Still Solo. ‘Tis the season for cliché rom coms based in quaint ski towns, so here is ours. Presenting: the ultimate romantic comedy for lonely skiers — featuring  Sam Kuch and Katie Burrell.

Free As Can Be: December 7

When a young climber infatuated with climbing history meets an old legend, he commits to helping him accomplish his lifelong goal of free climbing El Capitan.

Featuring Arc’teryx athlete Jordan Cannon and climbing legend Mark Hudon.

Makatea Vertical Adventure: December 10

A team of twenty enthusiasts, climbers, speleologists, rescuers, educational and environmental managers, photographers, cameramen, journalists travel to Makatea, a unique island in Polynesia to set up the “Makatea Vertical Adventure” project. The goal being to develop eco-responsible tourism, which is respectful of the biodiversity of the atoll and its inhabitants through the practice of climbing.

Featuring Arc’teryx athletes Nina Caprez and Jonathan Siegrist.

A Few Steps From Home: December 13 

The idea is simple. A small mountain hut, a warm stove, and three friends. Even if the big cities of Munich and Innsbruck are almost in sight, wild mountain adventures can often be found right out the back door.

In this film Joi Hoffmann, Jochen Mesle and Max Kroneck share the love for their local mountains and the simple life you can find in the small huts up there.

It is often said that the hardest part of any adventure is getting out the door. Planning and packing are tedious and time consuming. But the moment you cross over the threshold from the distractions of the real world to the freedom of the hills, everything seems to just fall into place. (Said no mother ever.)

Follow professional skiers and mothers Izzy Lynch and Tessa Treadway as they carry the load of loss, life changing events, and the love of their children into the mountains where they find the moments of peace, growth and healing that help them carry on.
